Ohio squirrel dogs

Jeff from up in Collins Ohio sends me this pic and clip of his two Buckley Mountain Feist Squirrel dogs.
The girls put our local squak up a tree this morning and it decided to timber on them then it fell out of a tree and almost hit Cinders on the head. Boy that started some fireworks thank god for all that snow or Cinders would have put a hurt on that squak. I sent a video of them treeing the squak you can see at the end when the squak starts to timber. I got a pic. of the squak right before it fell, then they stuck to the new tree for 20 min. until I called them in the house. They are all jacked up now they won't sit still.
Check out the squirrel timbering.

We went today and got our squirrel tube. I hope to have it up and working soon. This will be used in the aid training squirrel dogs. Squirrel dog training starts early here and I think this tool will give our young Feist pups a jump start.

I took Tucker hunting on Saturday around a cornfield. He treed his first squirrel but I didn't get a video of the hunt although when we got home he spotted one over our corn feeder and this is the video.
Cricket is doing well. She and Tucker were glad to see the warm sunshine the last two days and took full advantage of it, as did I.

competition squirrel dog

We are very proud of Jason Harris and his Sugar dog. We sold Sugar to Jason as a 6 week old pup. She is out of our Bunny and Copper. Thank you Jason for the picture and for giving Sugar the chance at doing what she was bred to do. Jack
Good day in the competition ring! I finished Sugar into a Squirrel Champion! I placed 5th in the morning hunt and 2nd in the evening hunt. I won over all best of Female on the bench with Sugar. I also got a win on the bench with Ginger in the Champion bench class. This now makes Ginger a Grand Bench Champion. Jason

Another good rport bak from Tyler Murphy and his 8 1/2 month old Jaz pup'
Dang it im sorry about the video. I dont know what the heck im doing wrong with the videos. While im writing I want you to know that my Jaz pup (Taz X Aqua) has shifted gears all at once. She is barking on the tree and timbering like crazy. She will actually try to climb the tree. I believe she is a full sister to Barger's cookie. Man would you be proud of her she is great. Im going to get some help on sending these videos. Today she treed aleast four but I only had a BB gun. She is actually getting better by the day. All this happened in less than one hour. Im sending you a couple of pictures of her. Keep up the good work Jack.

Jack - Back from the Tar Heel state with good news!!.. I am convinced I
need to change my dogs name to Cookie (MONSTER) because she has become
just that, gobbling up every squack in her path. Took her out Monday
after work and she treed 7 and I managed to get these four before they
got gone, in just an hour and a half, and she was putting on a show
that would make anyone proud...hustle, accuracy, stay put tree dog
equals MEAT!....Thanks again, Chuck Barger, Lexington NC

Don't know if he is going to tree but it sure looks like he will be a bay dog. Wait a minute, if you see him grabbing at the hamster he may be a attack dog.
