Em & Princess

Em & Princess
Originally uploaded by lindakaybuckley
Em had no school today so we decided we would take us a squack hunt. After breakfast the wind picked up so we put it off until this afternoon.
While waiting we had one of our old SDC and hunting budies Kevin Conley stop by. We looked at dgs and sat on the couch and knocked out several. While Kevin was here the gate bell rang and it was another one of our SDC buddies Chris Stacy" groundhog' stoped in. He joned Kevin and me on he couch and we shot another 2 or 3 limits out and looked at the dogs again.
About 4:30 Em and me loaded Pncess up and took us a shot hunt. Things were slowat first and right at dark bam bam Princess threed 4 times and we saw two and knocked out this one to Princees. She made a perfect retrieve right to EM.
All the elk didn't get killed. We saw 7 going in and while we were taking this pic there 10 or 12 cows grasing about 45 yds behind EM. They were tamer than cattle and paid us no mind.

Morning Jack

Bullet was doing a job yesterday that I think that you would have liked. He was treed every few minutes. Here is a clip of one of his trees. You can hear Daisy in the background. I have her tied back. It was not in a place where the squirrels are thick. There are some but they are not running all over the place

Lacy finally made a real nice solid tree about a 100yds from me and stuck till I got there and shot out the meat. She was blowing up the woods on this one really made me happy for once. Cinders is really starting to range out and is using her nose great checking trees I think she treed on a few dens but didn't bark just was up on the wood checking them over real good. Oh Cinders got caught in a snare and was squealing like a pig I thought a coyote had he for a minute. Luckily it got her around the back legs and I was close and got her out quick. The guy is trying to catch the coyotes so I can't bitch to much about the snares-----------

Big Buck

This is a nice buck that tyler Murphy got on his trail cam in Carrollton, Ms.

jeb and sam with coon

Thought I would send you a couple of recent pictures of Jeb. One pic Littlejohn took yesterday on a hunt. We just got one sq but treed in four or five dens we had Seven and he did good also, actually treed the one we killed.
The other is Jeb & Sam day before, got a late start, Sam treed a sq then Jeb treed a coon. Treed a few more it was almost to dark to see in the trees, did see one more but it got to a den. I have to put Jeb on a leash when it's time to go he don't like to quit.

I loaded up Brownie, Taz and Princess and hit the dusty trail on the Rhino this afternoon. Things started out slow and really picked up late. The dogs treed 13 times, looked at 9 and bagged 6 a Knott County Limit.
I wish I had someone with me because I could have gotten more. I had some real good dog work . All three of the dogs got in on treeing and my Female Princess caught a full grown gray squack on the ground that hadn’t been shot at. I was really proud of Taz , he was blowing the tops of the trees out this afternoon. Ole Brownie is just like country music and can count on her being on every time out. Above are a couple videos also.

The pup treed most of the squirrels and the coon. One was a layup that he was winding from about 10-12 yards away.
